Should I buy a new MP3 player?
Right now I've got a very nice little Sansa Fuze coupled with Rhapsody, which costs $15 a month for unlimited music downloads, so long as I keep paying the premium. Seeing as how its Christmas time almost, I'm considering an upgrade to the Zune HD, for two primary reasons: Firstly and most importantly, the Zune Marketplace costs the same as Rhapsody, but additionally I get to keep 10 downloads per month FOREVER, regardless of whether I cancel the subscription, in addition to unlimited DRM (digital rights management) downloads. Secondly, the Zune has a much sleeker interface than my Sansa, being newer, more expensive, and wielding a touchscreen.
So the ultimate question remains: is it worth buying a new player ($150 - $180) primarily for the music subscription service and some added thrills?
Zune's are ah-may-zing! It's worth it.
