What is a god upgrade from a (noisey) ATI Radeon 9600 128 mb Video Card ? See below for specs !?
Well I decided to stop playing PC video games and removed my Video card (ATI Radeon 9600 128 mb ). However I since noticed my computer had slowed down . Still I wouldnt like to put the video card back in because the fan on it is just too noisey
However I wouldnt mind upgrading for one that's a little quieter with a little more RAM if compatible . I noticed the RAM on the video card , increases the overall Computer RAM correct?
What other benefits are there for using a video card (apart form games)?

A passive 256MB Asus 7300GT does the job...
In stock at Scan for £35.24
I would avoid anything cheaper because it will impact on available system memory.
To qualify your comment on memory...
Budget graphics cards sometimes (and integrated graphics always) reduce available system memory.
Your 9600 and the 7300GT will not, they use their own - but it is available only for graphics...
Cheaper passive (no fan) cards are available, but I would suspect that they will all "borrow" system memory.
