What to transfer settings and plugins of firefox 3.0 to 3.5?
I am using fedora 6. Recently found that new release of Firefox 3.5, previously i'm using Firefox 3.0.11 to view yahoos and rest of web. I want to update my browser but i don't want to loose my history, form auto completions, cookies and mostly plug-in. Is there any way to upgrade the firefox in fedora 6 without loosing these???
please anyone help me.
i tried help>check for updates but i didnt found 3.5 version there. and also when i download it came as tarball, just to untar and use. then how all mu settings will be carried to new firefox??????
The upgrade should carry all of your plugins over. I did an upgrade on Fedora 10 to firefox 3.5 and it carried everything over without any issues. On another note all I have to say is WOW your still using Fedora 6 that is great!! Have you thought about an upgrade since Fedora 11 is now the newest release.
