Is this enough for Hillstream Loaches (Borneo Suckers)..?
i bought 2 H. Loaches (B. Suckers) today and i was wondering if algae is enough as supplement for them.. coz together with em are 10 danios who eat most of the food that i feed them and they obviously dont race to get some coz theyre just sticking on the glass or hiding in the stones... my aquarium has algae but is it enough for them or is there something else i can give to them which the danios wont steal from them...
Yes, aside from grazing on algae you can give them sinking food in the form of algae wafers, tablet food, food disc, sinking pellets...the thing here is that the food must be FOR HERBIVOURS and SINKS FAST so your danios don't have a chance to eat them. Also provide them with a current from your filter output to duplicate the running streams they inhabit in nature.
