why won't my 360 work?
i have had my xbox 360 since about feb/march this year. was using it on a small 19 inch widescreen and worked fine. i bought a HD 32 inch recently and about a week after buying it the xbox went caput. i had red lines going down the screen turned it off and then had sound and no picture.
iv done all the checks:
- new cable
- tried on another tv
- checked cable is in properly
and came to no conclusion.
i tried the towel trick and it worked for like a week or two but now it has gone again.
anybody know what the problem is?
would i be better to just buy a new xbox 360? the one i have is second hand from ganestation and its a first gen 360 without the HD plug.
Did you switch the cable to HDTV?
You tried the towel trick? Those videos on youtube should be illegal. The Xbox 360 is basically a PC and if you overheat a PC you burn it out. You did a lot more harm than good for a quick temporary fix. Call microsoft and ask them if you still have a warranty. It sounds like you burnt out the CPU in it if your not getting the RROD but its not working. Dont tell them you used the towel trick because it will void your warranty.
