Better than the Ibanez 350DX and in the same price range?
Just checking to see if there's a better guitar out there that's better than the Ibanez 350DX and in the same price range, because im gonna buy one soon.I play mostly power metal, blues and hard rock. The main Features im looking for are:
-Floating Tremolo
-24 frets
-2 humbuckers
-1 single coil
Also if anyone can also tell me what amp and processor would go nicely with this guitar it would also be very much appreciated.$200 is the max im willing to pay for both.
Cheers
The Ibanez 350DX is a killer for it's price range. It's really an axe if you want a guitar that sounds awesome with gain for that price range. Plus, you can't beat the features on that 350DX. It has an Edge III bridge, 24 frets, 2 humbuckers and 1 single coil. I see that you play Heavy Metal music so I guess the 350DX will fit you.
Another alternative would be the Ibanez RG370DX, which is something like the 350DX. The MAIN difference is that the 350 is more meant for metal whilst the 370 is more versatile in tone range. I suggested this guitar with respect that you play Blues so you might need a versatile guitar to get that tone. Personally, the prefer the neck on the 370 which is faster and slimmer as compared to the 350.
As for the amp, I suggest that you save up more and get a better amp then you would with the budget you suggested. It's better to get an amp you're satisfied with than an amp that old satisfies you a bit before you move on to another amp. You might want to try a Spider Line 6. It's got lots of presets and gives you lots of tones at your fingertips. It's the perfect home practice amp for me in my opinion. If you want an amp for gigs, I suggest you get amps at least 50 watts and above - in which would not fit your budget. So save up more to get your amp
Good luck!
