On my new ipod nano, it keeps "resetting itself" after I have taken it off of a dock, help!?
I recently purchased a brand new 4th generation ipod nano online from apple.com. I purchased it November 12th. I also got the free engraving on the back. Ever since I've gotten it, it will "reset" itself and the apple logo will appear and it will take about 10 seconds for it to come back on. This happens when it's on my stereo dock and I take it off of it AND when I have it plugged into my car adapter. Recently this has gotten really bad. I did accidentally drop it one time, but the problems started to happen BEFORE I had dropped it. Although they have gotten worse since I've dropped it. ALSO, when I shake it to shuffle the songs, the logo will appear also. I've went to apple.com for support and called the numbers and followed their directions, but to no avail have I had any luck. Is there any way to talk to an actual person from apple? What do you think my next step should be?
You should go to an Apple store. There, they can help you and if they can't, they'll take the Ipod back, fix it or replace it, then mail it back to you.
